or maybe not
maybe it only looks empty
sprinkled with dark matter
dark energy
stars scatter through it
black holes pull them into
orderly spirals
nebulae pulse and vibrate
birth stars
and star systems
planets moons asteroids gasgiants
and on some planets life
begins
forms
explores
and all of it
all of it
means nothing
means nothing
just is
and in at least one place
life evolves beings
who can look out
unafraid
and see hear touch taste smell
beauty
