199.365 - after Unamuno

after reading Unamuno, the night changes
the leaves of the vine that climbs a building
do not tremble in dread or warning
they whisper with their neighbors on a tree
all the leaves around me ignore me
they talk among themselves preparing
for the ceremony that will happen
when their priestess the moon
enters this vast chapel under the sky
