the planets fall together
but also keep in nearly circles
around the sun
which is nowhere near the center
of anything
we whirl
the sun whirls
the galaxy whirls
the cluster whirls
a huge dance that celebrates nothing
or everything
and we
like tipsy ignorami
dismiss data to scientific dustbins
touch glasses to each other and know
we are the centers of the universe
and surely soon someone somewhere
will notice
