071.365 - a parable of solitude

in the beginning
crow flew over endless waters
till it was very weary
crow flew and flew
and finally saw
one leafy branch
reaching above the waters
crow landed and grasped the branch
but it was a trap
crow could not loose the branch
as it bent
and carried crow
beneath the waters

in the beginning
crow flew over endless waters
till it was very weary
crow flew and flew
and finally saw
the tip of a pyramid
just above where waves crashed
crow circled and circled
but the tip remained
unwatered
crow landed and rested
and after a while noticed
the tide was coming in

in the beginning
crow flew over endless waters
till it was very weary
crow flew and flew
and finally saw
a raft
with a boy and his goat on it
crow circled and circled
then landed
relaxed and shook his wings
and too late noticed
the cat

in the beginning
crow flew over endless waters
till it was very weary
crow flew and flew
and finally saw
endless waters
