light flooded the office
I came back to a room unknown
strange things had happened
and might happen yet
perhaps a stone would grow a sword
although I was too old for that
or one of the computers
might become illuminated
hell, even I might
I considered closing the curtains
decided against it
maybe it’s worth the risk
working outside the dark
