V is that person who, when nearly everyone around you has given up on the humanity of humans, reminds us of it, who reaches deep into herself and brings forth a pearl of wisdom or of wit that makes you wince with the compassion and comprehension of it, who looks up over her glasses at you and reminds you you ain't got nobody to look down on, not while she's nearby.
